§ 02 — About POP Series 6

A look inside the set.

POP Series 6 presents a tightly edited 17-card lineup made entirely of Pokémon, with no Trainer or Energy cards to shift attention away from the illustrations. The rarity mix is evenly paced across Common, Uncommon, and Rare, giving the set a straightforward, gallery-like read. Across the cards, the dominant look is cartoonish and lighthearted, built on simple, focused compositions and a bright-to-vibrant palette that keeps silhouettes crisp and scenes uncluttered.

Within that consistent visual language, a few cards stand out for their polish and charm, including Manaphy and Pachirisu as leading visual highlights. The set’s tone stays cheerful and character-forward, occasionally adding a touch of dynamic motion without losing clarity. Illustration duties are concentrated among a small group of artists, which helps maintain cohesion from card to card while still offering subtle shifts in linework and color handling.

I · Visual identity

The set’s visual identity is bright and character-led: cartoonish linework, playful expressions, and uncluttered staging dominate. Most cards use simple, balanced layouts with the Pokémon held in clear focus, supported by vibrant color that occasionally shifts into soft pastels; contrast is used sparingly to keep the overall mood light and cheerful.

II · Illustrators

Artwork is led by Atsuko Nishida, with substantial contributions from Kouki Saitou, Kagemaru Himeno, and Masakazu Fukuda. The small illustrator roster helps the set read as a unified collection, with consistent clarity in character rendering and color-forward presentation.
